Skin Conditions

Skin Conditions

Varying greatly in symptoms and severity, skin conditions or disorders can be temporary or permanent, and may be painless or painful, depending on the type of condition. Caused by either situational circumstances or genetic factors, some skin conditions are considered as minor whereas others may indicate a more serious underlying issue.

Some of the more common types of skin conditions and disorders include:

Rosacea

A chronic skin disease that causes redness and visible blood vessels in the face, rosacea can also be recognised by the presence of small, red, pus-filled bumps on the skin that are present during flare-ups.
At the moment there is no cure for rosacea, but regular treatment may control and reduce the signs and symptoms over time.

Eczema

Also known as atopic dermatitis, eczema occurs when patches of skin become inflamed, itchy, red, cracked, and rough. Depending on individuals, some may eventually outgrow the condition while others will continue to have it throughout adulthood.
